We love cooking steak at home, especially using good quality steak. One of our favorite cuts are the one from Costco called the Grilling Rib Eye steak. It’s tender, juicy and contains the perfect amount of marble and fat for searing. We prefer ours medium rare to medium.
Sometimes we will have some leftover steak and one of my favorite ways to make another meal with it is fried rice. Everytime the ingredients are a little different. The one we have here is a semi-Japanese style. Balance the protein with a little bit of vegetables and there you have yourself a delicious bowl of leftover steak fried rice.
Remember, the key to a good bowl of fried rice is using leftover rice. This prevents mushy rice as fresh rice contains a lot of moisture. You want it as dry as possible.
If you don’t overcook your steak the previous day, your leftover steak will come out still as juicy as ever.
