
This is my version of a Chinese Stir fry that uses random ingredients in the fridge. Even though you might not see this combination at restaurants, it works so well together and is really delicious. The added garlic and chilli flakes goes really well with this dish overall, so I won’t skimp out on it.
Pair it with a bowl of rice and there you have yourself one of the simplest, most nourishing and delicious meals yet!
Chinese Stir Fry Pork With Assorted Vegetables
A quick stir-fry featuring tender sliced pork infused with fragrant garlic and a kick of red pepper flakes, creating a bold and savory flavor. A vibrant mix of celery, yellow onions, and spinach adds freshness and crunch, making it a well-balanced and satisfying dish.

Ingredients
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
- 250g pork loin, thinly sliced
- Marinate:
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp corn starch
- 1/2 tsp sesame oil
- 1/4 tsp white pepper
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- Marinate:
- 2 stalks celery, sliced thinly
- 1/2 large yellow onion, sliced (or 1 small-medium yellow onion)
- 1 large bouquet spinach, roughly chopped (~2 cups)
- 1 tsp oyster sauce
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
- Prepare the pork: Thinly slice pork loin against the grain. In a bowl, mix the pork with marinate sauce. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
- Stir-Fry the Pork: Heat oil in a wok or large pan over medium-high heat.
- Add pork and cook for 2–3 minutes, stirring until lightly browned. Remove and set aside.
- Sauté the Aromatics & Vegetables: In the same pan, add oil, then sauté garlic, onions, celery and red pepper flakes for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Combine & Finish: Return the pork to the pan, toss everything together, and stir in the spinach.
- Add seasoning: Oyster sauce, sugar and salt to taste. Stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until the spinach wilts.
- Serve and enjoy!
